Im off to university in a few weeks, and I need (want) a voice recorder, obviously owning an iPod, the Belkin or Griffin solution looks pretty good. However, for the past hour I've been browsing websites, reading reviews, and can't seem to find a clear winner.
In your personal expierance which would be the best for recording lectures. Im not too bothered about the quality of the speaker itself, as i doubt i would ever use it.
Thanks

I'd go with the Griffin iTalk. I've heard good things about it, and it's supposed to give better quality.

From the review on this website, the Belkin Universal Microphone Adapter is best for high gain situations over 30ft (as in a lecture theatre). That's why I bought mine! You need to buy a separate mic though but these can be bought very cheaply on eBay. Thing is, I can't get mine to work for some reason, so I've bought a new mic and I'll see if that works....

I recently bought the Griffin iTalk - plugged it in and it does exactly what it says on the box.
I am currently trying to work out the best way to say memos on to cd without loosing all track info - anyone got idea's?

Is the Belking mic adapter suitable for line-in recordings, a line in signal is quite stong compared with a regular mic signal. But the gain ajustments make me belive that this is not an issue, although I doubt that...
And is the adapter suitable for making concert recordings with an external mic. The sound level is really high with a concert and I was wandering if this could be a good bootlegging device.
