Hi. I was using my iPod with the laptop I got from my school (a Powerbook G4) but in July I had to give the laptop back for re-imaging.
I just got the laptop back again, so I want to know if I plug in my iPod will it automatically reformat, or will it ask me if I want to download my music into iTunes? The iPod was synced with iTunes before so when I plugged in it automatically updated, but I'm guessing since it was re-imaged it would probably be like a fresh start.
I don't want to accidentally format my iPod (I had over 2700 songs on it) and I don't know what will happen or what to expect. If anyone could tell me what to do (or what not to do) I would really appreciate it. If it makes a difference, I have a 3rd Gen 15GB iPod, I tried getting the USB adapter and plugging into my PC but I'm assuming my iPod is not windows compatible, because it detected a usb device, but didn't allow me to view contents or access the iPod in any way.
I really hope I will still be able to update my iPod...
