Maximum protection for travel

I would like some input on the best case for travelling with my 3G 15 gb ipod. I have a teski roadie for running, but I want something more substantial because I do a lot of travelling, both by road and air, and I am looking for a case that I can toss in my carry-on without worrying too much about it. It seems that I have narrowed it down to the following: STM Cocoon, Contour Showcase, and Ipod Armor. I like the armor the best but I don't like the price much. Are there any cases I am missing? And is the Ipod Armor so far and away the best case for my purposes that I should drop the extra 20 or 25 bucks on it?

That thing looks a little too bulky, I think I can protect it adequately without all that foam.
