I just bought the Belkin Auto Charger and the Belkin Y Audio Cable (I have rca outputs in my center console) and I was wondering what is the best level to set the volume on the charger itself. Also whenever I pause the song, and if the volume is moderate-high on my headunit, I can clearly hear a hissing sound through the tweaters and speakers. Any ideas on what to do? Would the sound quality be better if it was connected via the rca jacks or is it better if it was connected directly to the headunit via cd changer port etc. Thanks.

on the four installs ive done using the belknin auto kit, i set the volume to around the mid point of the dial. a good way to find the best output volume is to try to match it with other sources on your head unit. for example, you want the ipod's output volume to be close to the volume of the radio or a cd.

in regards to the hissing, is it a possible ground loup problem?

the Belkin Auto Kit (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201526&pcount=&Product_Id=149006) charges and creates a line out for the ipod.
