Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I have installed my ipod into my Sorento.

Pictures are here: http://homepage.mac.com/cgilbert/PhotoAlbum27.html

This is the most elegant solution I could come up with using the stock stereo.

Please tell me what you think.

would the dock fit in that little drawer? if so, I'd say you have the potential for a sweet setup. Never seen anyone install the remote like that, interesting idea.

Really nice install. I have a Kia Sedona, what holds on the face plate?
If you could PM the answer to me I'd be very appreciative.

Hey guys/gals?

Thanks for the responses.

To answer the questions.

1) The dock does NOT fit in the drawer...I was trying to come up with ways i could use it but just wasn't happening without alot of work.

2) I don't use an FM transmitter...signal isn't good enough. I am using a cassette adapter...you can't see it because it is in the tape player and I ran the wire BEHIND the faceplate of the stereo and behind the left 'wood' panel.

3) Faceplate- not sure if you mean the stereo or the remote. The stereo faceplate is held on by clips all around it...I had to take off the 'wood' panels to get to the stereo plate...it just goes right back on even with the wire behind it. The remote just stays in place by the angle it is setting...I have the wire at the bottom and the top edge of the remote under the 'lip' of the square space.

Any other questions...just let me know.
