i was just at barnes and noble during lunch and was browsing through the new MacWorld "tiger" edition. I saw this one thing where it looks just like a Beklin adapter except that it has an adjustable pole and at the end of it holds the ipod. I think that would be perfect...I just don't remember what it's called and where it's sold at.

Uh... Could you be a little more specific? "A/C adapter connecter holder thing" doesn't describe the product very accurately.. :p

I know, I'm sorry. it's a holder that extends out and adjusts the ipod and at the end of it has the a/c adapter to plug into lighter.

hope that's better :(

I think he's talking about either the Seidio iMount (http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SMCIPOD) or the Griffin RoadTrip (http://www.ipodlounge.com/reviews_more.php?id=4733_0_6_0_M) or the TransPod FM 3G (http://www.ipodlounge.com/gearguide_specs_more.php?id=3478_0_5_0_M)
I'm not sure if these are what he's talking about since the description is rather vague. Hope I helped some...

Peace,

Terminology Correction Geek to the rescue:

AC adapters convert household alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC), and change the voltage & amperage to a prescribed level needed for the device.

Go to www.ask.com and type in the question, "What is the difference between AC and DC current?" This is also something that should have been covered in high school shop class (they DO still teach it, don't they?).

Every automotive electrical system I've heard of is DC, although I've known that some use different voltages (the original Volkswagen Beetle, most notably).

Just making sure that you don't get laughed at if you walk into an electronics store and ask for the wrong type of adapter.

BarracksSi: I noticed the AC/DC issue (insert rock joke here) but I figured I'd leave it alone, no need to confuse MashadaR more than he is already :p

Bartman, the seidomount is very similar to what I saw in the magazine. THank you.

I'm sorry that I sounded stupid, all, I just didn't know what it was called, I guess I should've written it down at barnes and noble.
