I'm trying to get a new pair of canal earbuds. My choices are Shure E2C, Shure E3C and Etymotic ER-6i. The E3C and ER-6i are my top choices, though I'm not sure which one would be considered better. However, the key thing that prevents me from making a choice is that I don't know how sturdy the cables on any of those buds are, and I'd really like to get the sturdiest cables I can. I'm even willing to sacrifice sound quality to get sturdier cables, considering that the flimsy Sony MDR-EX71SL earbuds broke and I'm now stuck using really, really, really crappy w.ear headphones. I'll be selling my new (free) 4G 20GB iPod to get the buds, so really, price isn't a concern for me; however I can't justify spending over $200 on earbuds.

So anyway, suggestions? Thanks!

the cable on the e3, as well as the plug, is very sturdy.
