I want the ones with the headbands and crap. If I put it in my ear, its very uncomfortable.

I have a $10 Amazon GC, so I would like to buy headphones off of amazon....

It has to be under $50. Not $60, etc. Under $50, what is the best headphones for under $50?

Sennheiser PX100

Best over-ear phones for under $50. Hands down.

I purchased the MX-100 from Amazon and they do really, REALLY sound good! The bass is awesome on these 'phones. I am still in the break in period so I am sure that they will sound even better. As soon as my wife tried them on, she was said "where's my pair? These sound great!". The are great for traveling (nice and light), but since they are "open air" 'phones, they do let in the outside noise. As an example: I take the bus everyday to/from work, and I have a pair of Sony MDR-A34 'phones and I can leave my iPod on about 30% volume and they sound really good at the volume. If I use the MX-100's, I have to put my volume on about 60% to get the same volume level as the Sony 'phones. If you are wanting these for plane flights, they probably won't do very good as they will let alot of noise in. I think the Sony MDR-A34 would do pretty good for plane flights, but I have also heard (and am going to try for myself) that the MX-200 'phones are good as well.

I'll chuck in another vote for the PX-100s. I picked these up and haven't worn any earbuds since. Great sound and very comfortable.

I still sometimes use a pair of Sony MDR-V2 headphones. They're not made anymore, but they've always had a surprisingly balanced sound, with only a bit of congestion in the high end.

When these finally break, I'll have to find a store that'll let me listen to headphones while using CDs of my choice.

What's so better about the PX200's?

I'm gonna get order my headphones by the end of the week..

So, what's better about the PX200 that the PX100 doesn't have? And is it worth the extra money?

I've heard that the PX 200s dont' sound as good as the PX 100's because they extra padding does nothing but increase pressure on the ear. Remember these are supraaural, not circumaural so you won't get any passive noise cancellation.

My ordered my PX100's from Amazon.com yesterday and they will be arriving tomorrow. I will keep you guys posted as to how they sound. But for now, take a look Here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B000089GN3/ref=cm_rev_next/103-4310092-5820642?%5Fencoding=UTF8&customer-reviews.sort%5Fby=-SubmissionDate&n=172282&customer-reviews.start=31&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER) for the amazon.com reviews

Get the PX100s. My friends chipped in and got me a set of PXC250s for my birthday (nice friends :) ). They're the same thing as the PX200s, but with an electronic noise reduction feature built in. I wasn't very impressed to be honest. I ended up taking them back to where they got them and bought a pair of Shure E3Cs (which I love).

Every review I've read comparing the 3 models (PX100, PX200, and PXC250) say that the PX100s are by far the best, even though they're the cheapest. The PX200s and PXC250s are sealed, instead of open, but since they sit on your ear, not fit around them, they do a really poor job of isolation, and the sound quality is shot to boot. If you want sealed cans, you can do better.

PX200 are better than PX100 if they fit your ear correctly giving you a good seal.
