I really need a case for my iPod to protect it from scratches and damage. I've been looking around, and this case seems to be the best. The only problem is the price. I'm not sure if the case is worth it, and I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay that much. However I want my iPod to have the best.

Please help me. My heart wants to get the case, but my wallet isn't sure.

If you want the "best" case, it might not be the ivod... it is nice and very cool looking.. but didnt get the most glowing review from ipodlounge. If you want one of the most expensive and nicest looking, then get it.
It's really a matter of taste... if you want to pic out colors and options, this is the case for you.
If you want the most protecting, you might want to look elsewhere, and save a few bucks.

Why not get a less expensive case for now, see if you like it. If you still need the vaja, get it in a few months.

I recently purchased a Vaja Ivod case for my 4g Ipod. I have been using a Vaja ivolution case on my Sony Clie NX70v for almost 2 years now and it has been unbelievable. The case has protected the clie excellently with holding up incredibly well itself. I am very rough on my PDA and have dropped too many times. I use a bit of leather cleaner on the case every couple months and it still looks practically brand new. The PDA itself looks practically brand new; no scratches, nothing. I highly recommend Vaja cases to anyone. You are investing the money to protect $300+ electronics. Trust me, it's worth it.

Hm... Thanks for the opinions and those pics. The Vaja cases do look great. Rhart, that's a good point you made about protecting a fairly expensive product.

I guess I'm now leaning towards getting it, but I just want a couple more opinions.

I always decide about expensive purchases based on usage. I think its fine to pay more for something to get quality that will last and when I'm always using something. Paying a lot of something that sits around a lot or that I don't really care about is a waste.

If you use your iPod a lot and plan to keep it for a long time, pay the extra money. If you're always looking at and handling a cheaper, uglier case it will detract from your experience with the iPod.

I'm currently shopping around for a new recliner for the living room. I could get a cheap piece of furniture but I'll be sitting in this thing a lot, every day. I don't mind paying more for something that looks better, is more comfortable, and will last longer.

dood, I hear ya. I'm in the same situation. I don't know if I even want to BUY a case, because I already have the p.o.s. that came with the iPod, so why bother? I really want the iVod too, but the price seems to be yelling at me more than the case itself.

I was thinking about just going with the iskin evo or w/e, but i realized for like another 20 bucks I could have a case 5x sicker. So I don't know either. Not really an opinion, I'm just in the same dilemma..

Its tough to explain the quality of the Vaja, unless you hold one in your hand. The only real opportunity to hold one that I know of is at an Apple Store, if you live near one. I have had one for my 3G now for about 2 months and my only regret is not getting one sooner. The fit of these cases are amazing, and their functionality is unmatchable. My wife loves her pink mini because its pink, so she'll be getting a pink Vaja in the near future.

The Vaja is perfect for me, because I wanted a quality case that allowed for easy removal to go into its dock. And I don't mind caring for the case itself.

Don't get the Vaja if you think a case is for beating on, instead of the iPod.

Alright... Thanks for the input.

Just a question, will the iVod mini get cheaper any time soon? If not I think I will go ahead and order it.. I pretty much made up my mind..

The Vaja's don' t have a history of going down, just up. So the sooner the better.

If you are bargain hunting, you can check eBay for a "lightly used"

The Ivod will not be any cheaper soon. This baby is not winning the competition by being cheap, but by being the best. I have the Ivod and an Iskin and must admit that since receiving the Ivod, I haven't looked at the Iskin. As I said before in another thread, the Ivod makes your Ipod look and feel like a million dollars, it realy adds to the appeal of your Ipod. It's the only case I know that has that effect, most of them make your Ipod feel like an ordinary MP3-player. If you don't have to starve yourself or your children to afford the case, get it as soon as possible.

They sell the Vaja cases at the Apple Store? I'm going to Atlanta next month; I may stop in and have a look.

Galley: Yes, but they only sell them in red, black, or white.

I think one includes a belt clip, while the others do not...but I'm not 100% certain of this.

I placed my order on monday June 28th, it was shipped by Vaja on the 30th (FedEx send me an e-mail that they had received it (including tracking number) and it was delivered in Holland 6 days later. Must say, a very pleasant surprise. As you've probably seen on my site, mine also has my name written on it, so that's prety damn fast. As any good company, I think they'll promise you a delivery in a certain amount of time. They throw in a couple of days to be safe and 9 times out of 10 they'll easily make their deadline and you'll be extra happy.

When I get a 4G in the future, or whatever generation is out when I scrap my 3G, I'll buy one. They really do look amazing on the 4G and mini, but I don't really like them on the 3G. I've never much liked the bulge that accomodates the back and forward buttons. But there's none of that with the 4G and mini models. Just a single, clean circle.

@flixi79: i bought my mini in a department store called john lewis, but it is advisable to phone 24 hours or a few days ahead to see if they have any in stock - i got the last green one in the kingston branch. there is a john lewis on regent street in the centre of london (nearest tube oxford circus) but they are VERY rare. john lewis (http://www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/Product.aspx?ARA=Audio+%26+TV&CAT=Audio+%26+Hi-Fi&SCT=Personal+Hi-Fi&PRT=MP3+Players&Type=SKU&Id=230196993) do not seem to have any on their online store of any colour, so it might be a bit hard to find one of a particular colour. there are also a few stores in tottenham court road which may have them, but again, your choices of colour will be limited. with regards to vaja cases, i too would like to know where to buy them.

I dunno. I have an iVod 3G, love it, but like my Matius Mini armor much better. It doesn't change the great design look of the Mini that much and fully protects the Mini.

What more do you have to say? Just look at the pictures of the cases made. Talk about a classy case!

I'm quite satisfied with the level of protection it gives my iPod but paying this much money for a case might not have been the smartest thing I've ever done.

I also have the iSkin and I must say that the belt clip of the iVod is light years superior to that of the iSkin - suffice to say that I would never attach my iPod to the iSkin belt clip and go strolling about. Pragmatically speaking, the belt clip system and the padding that the iVod offers are its winning factors.

...but I feel compeled to say that the iVod's looks is definitely eye candy.

Don't torment yourself with strivial decisions. You might buy the iVod and then next thing you know it's been stolen so if your budget can't take it then look elsewhere.

May you never be complete. (Good 'ol Fight Club lesson) :p
