I have an Alpine CDA-7892 Head Unit and a belkin auto charger/line out. Right now if I go above a certain volume it sounds very tinny and very distorted. I dont think I have the volume on the charget set right. What volume should that be at. Also can someone reccomend where the bass/treble and what frequencies they should be at for the head unit. Also I would like to know if MX should be on or off. Only people with alpine head units should know the last two questions but much help would be appreciated.
-Thanks.

I've adjusted my belkin lineout output so the sound level is the same on all audio sources.

you mean like the cd player sound and the ipod sound would be at the same volume.

Alright I think I have it set right. It could be that my stereo just sucks. Im a totally lost in the car audio world. The car I bought already had a pretty nice stereo in it. Here's the set up. Alpine CDA-7892, 2 4" polk ex II speakers on the front and 2 6x9" Pioneer Premium 220 watt max speakers in the back. I thought that was a good set up because I thought I had an amp but it was an old amp that had been left from an old system. it's not even connected. I'd like to buy a new amp, but first Id like to know if its necessary and what is a good amp for a fair amount of money. I like alpines stuff but it tends to be expensive. Please help me. Thanks.
