dOES iTrip work out of the box or do I have to upload something to my ipod first?

You have to download the iTrip stations (like music files)...into iTunes, then put it on your iPod...

No you don't..
The iTrip is set to a default frequency (a very low one) Don't remember which, but you'll find it.
The stations are only necessary if you want to change frequency.

Okay...so how do you program the frequency without it being on your iPod? I'm curious....
Ok, lets take this in baby steps..
You unpack the iTrip, connect it, and set the radio (your home or car stereo) to 89.7. Press play on the ipod and set the volume to 50-70% of full.. Suddenly, sound appears..
Now, if you want to change the frequency of the iTrip, then you'll have to install the CD and sync the stations over to the iPod.
