Help...2004 Jetta Blitzsafe install problems

Hey everyone, I'm having a problem installing my blitzsafe aux input dmx v.5 into my Jetta. Ive installed it into the back of my head unit and I think i have done everything right but it doesnt seem to be picking it up...Is there some step I am missing, I took the head unit out unplugged the blue cd changer cord out of the back and put the blizsafe one in its place, I then hooked up the rca cables from radioshack to my ipod and nothing...it just says no cd when I press the cd button on the front of my radio...does anyone have any suggestions any help would be greatly appreciated.

ive heard of things where people have to turn off their hu and turn it back on or something like that.

i tried that and it didnt work, does anyone have any step by step instructions because the ones I got from enfig.com that came with it werent really thorough
