Hi. I've been trying to find some cheap and decent white replacements for the standard ipod earbuds and I came across these. They're Sony, and in white and silver.

I searched the forum for reviews but couldn't find any. I'm just wondering if anyone has them, and if so how do they sound for being a pair of $20 earbuds?

I have the MDR-E828 which I would assume is the direct descendant of these (E827), then they're decent. Not a ton better than the ones that come with the iPod, but certainly a slight difference.

Personally, I'd reccomend going with the EX51 from Sony. Same as the EX71 but $10 cheaper. You can find them as low as $25 if you look hard enough, and they're a LOT better than the E828/E827 buds.

If you can't stand in-ear phones, then I'd say go for the Sennheiser PX100 and paint them white with some Krylon plastic paint.

Bear in mind, though, that white headphones says "I have an iPod" which is synonymous in some areas with "Please mug me. I'm carrying a $300 item you can sell on eBay!"

Be warned. White is cool, but dangerous!
