Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. how come when i search under artist it will say the artist numerous times. for instance when i search for artist under "Beatles" it will say
Beatles
Beatles
Beatles
etc.
and their songs will be mixed into random ones, does it have something to do with the album they are on or the genre each song is classified as. is there a way to delete multiple artist entries and keep all the artists songs under their name? please help. just incase it matters im using i tunes for windows (xp) i have a 3g 15gig pod, thanks

The Ipod is very sensitive to spaces - in front or behind the name - my guess is you have a space after the name on some tracks - the easist fix IMHO is to sort by artist in Itunes and then Select all your Beatles tracks then right clickand use get info and then rename Artist for all of them to Beatles - or what ever you want and you should be fine.

i've found that even if the artist's name is the same, if one track happens to have a comment associated with the file your ipod will list it under a spearate artist of the same name.

i havent seen that. just do what he said above. sort by artist, and click on the first beatles song and then go to the bottom one, hold the shift button on your keyboard and click the bottom track. then do properties and type the name in correctly.

should post this question elsewhere (In-car solutions?), but here's a little thing i wrote up a while ago on it.
