Oh man... I wish i'd started here. I always liked the sound of the e2's, but they just didn't fit my ear right, and would get very uncomfortable, and not seal terribly well. Dissapointing.
Well, I finally got sick of messing around with them, and went back to using my Bose Noise Cancelling phones. These have good sound, and i do like them, but the are just so big to carry around-- anyway, on my way to hawaii, I saw the e3c's for sale in denver, so I had to pick them up.
I am so unbelievably happy.
They are 20 times more comfortable than the e2's. I think I'm going to get some custom ear molds made... i like the feel of the flex sleeves, but the sound with the foam is AMAZING.
Due to the size of the e2's, I could not use the foam sleeves with them... which is odd, cause i'm not a small guy (6'6). Any reports on the triple flex sleeves? How are these? I'm thinking about picking a pair up before dropping the money on custom molds.
Anyway, these canalphones are HIGHLY recommended over the e2c's. WELL worth the extra money.
