I need to get an FM transmitter solution for my car because I'm changing my car in 6 months so I don't want to do anything permanent.

I'd also like to charge the ipod at the same time.

So, it's either:

1. The iTrip + a cigarette lighter charger
2. The cardock with fm transmitter
3. The belkin charger with line out + the fm transmitter that plugs in
4. anything else?

I don't think I really want to be plugging in two connectors (charger and itrip) all the time - unless this solution is significantly better quality than the others.

Does anyone have any other suggestions, or recommendations out of the ones I've found?

Thanks

I use the iTrip and only use the charger when needed. For my 15-20 minute work commute, I don't need to charge. I only use the charger when I'm on longer trips and even then, only if its really long or I forgot to charge before I left.

I like the iTrip over the wired versions since you can use it without a wire. I've been in the back seat of friends' cars and used my iPod. I've sat on the hood outside of the car and used it. It can also be used easily with a stereo system in a house.

Hadn't thought of that.. iTrip and a charger, but only use the charger when I need to.

That gives me portability between vehicles which would be rather cool.

I think that's probably the right solution assuming the iTrip is the best of the fm transmitters as I've read

I don't really think any one is better than the other. They are all limited in how far they can legally broadcast and they all send an FM signal, so the sound quality isn't better on one than the other.

I'll just wait until the new 4G evo cases are out then I'll get everything ordered together to save shipping costs.

Itrip with cig lighter plug-in is what I use. I have tried other FM transmitters, some were the kind that plugged in, they were all pretty horrible. I like my iTrip though.
