My poor iPod finally died, the firewire port was messed up. Im looking to upgrade to a 3rd gen. So anyone out there with a 10 gig you might like to part with, let me know. If someone wanted, I was thinking about going with a refurb. from apple, but all I need is 10 gigs, so if you need more space than what your 10 gig allows, maybe we could swap for refurb 20 gig for the 10. (a little cash would need to change hands too) So if there are any offers out there, ill be willing to listen. Thanks

Is it just me, or do you know make any sense?
Your trying to find a 3rd gen 10gb ipod. but then you are going to purchase a 20gb refurb ipod from apple, to trade with someones 10gb ipod??

Why dont you just say you want to buy a 10gb and save that hassle?? or buy a refurb 10gb?

If they had a refurb 10 gig...I wouldnt be posting asking for someone who wants to upgrade. Sorry if i wasn't clear on that. The point is, apple is offering a refurb. 20 gig. I dont need all the space so it dosent make sense for me to spend extra money if I dont have to. But I was saying if there is someone that has a 10 gig that wants a 20 gig, maybe we could work some kind of deal. It was just another option to finding someone with a 10 gig for sale.

Hey Golfer,
It might be less of a hassle to wait for a 10 gig to post in their refurb section. Look a couple times a week, usually early. More often if you have time.
I know I have seen refurbe'd 10 gigs for $169, which is an awesome deal. They even had 15 gigs with dock and remote for $199.
