Which mini colour is anti-fade?

I've currently got a mini n i've heard that silver (the one i got) is pretty good.... my dad's gettin a new one n i was just wondering if blue was alrite?

I used to be in the paint industry, and I was always worried about colors with red or yellow in them. For since the lead was removed from paint in the 70's, red and yellow was most dependent on this ingredient. With that said, I would bet the "pink" would be most prone to fading, and "gold" and "green" which could be created with some yellow pigment.

But I have to say my wife's "pink" has shown no signs of color change.

I think you are.....

It takes ALOT of sun exposure to wash out colors, and add an iSkin to the mix, the mini will barely see a ray.:cool:

i have a blue ipod and if ur dad wants to see the ipod's color, choose the artic... i have it and it looks real good... just a suggestion

Errrmmm... was it in the taking apart of the mini on this site, the guy said that the most sun resistant colour was silver, and the other would fade similarly, because they are a different type of anodisec something or paint something, so basically, it was saying that the colours should fade similarly, comparitivly to the silver, which won't fade as quickly/much...

I was in Apple store the other day, and noticed that the pink display model had faded considerably. When I took it out of the dock, the bottom part that the dock covered up was much darker.

sounds like you guys are all worrying too much. Get the colour you like and just enjoy it. By the time it actually fades at all you will be on to your 2g or 3g iPod mini and won't even care!
