I just installed a Pioneer DEH-7600MP in my car, and I love it so far. I am having trouble figuring out how to use my iPod as an Auxiliary input source. I have the ipod connected to a Belkin Auto Kit for iPod w/ Dock Connector (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201526&pcount=&Product_Id=149006)

I have a line out going from that Belkin Auto Connector to a P.I.E. PIO/P-RCA Pioneer P-Bus Auxiliary Input Converter (http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piepioprca1.html)

I connect the iPod through the dock connector for the Belkin auto kit. My problem is my head unit does not recognize the auxiliary source, or I can't figure out how to set it up. The manual told me to press function until I see Aux option, but I don't get that option while either on Compact Disc mode, or Tuner mode.

I know the Belkin auto kit is working because my ipod starts charging as soon as I plug it in, and the RCA cables I am using have also been tested. I emailed P.I.E before I bought the auxiliary input converter and they assured me it is compatible with the 7600MP.

Can anyone please tell me how to get the auxiliary source working?

sounds like a problem with p.i.e unit. even if the RCA cord you have was faulty, the head unit should still recoginze an aux source plugged into it. Usually you would just have to hit the source button until is came up AUX. Maybe you've got a faulty unit. wait and see what pie says

The trick is you have to turn off the unit completely, then hold down the function key. This is the same method you use for setting your clock. Turn the unit off, hold down the F key. You'll get a few options, one of them is AUX ON/OFF. Pick the ON selection and cancel out by hitting the BAND button on your unit. Then turn on the unit, cycle your sources to the AUX position and you can rename your AUX input IPOD if you'd like. Use the same process for that you'd use to input the title of a CD.

Hope this helps!
