Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. For those of you who mounted the dock in your vehicle, have you had it pop out of the dock? it has happened twice to me and my brand new 4G. Not a pleasant experience, watching it bounce to the ground.
If you did experience this, how did you prevent it?

I have always used ProClipUSA car holders for my iPod, I used to have a 3G 10gb and now I have a mini. The holders hold it firmly enough that it doesn't come out but not so tight that it is hard to get the iPod in and out.
btw: I have my old holders from my 3g 10gb, which work for 15s and 20s also, for sale in the classifieds section.

Mine has stayed docked fine so far. On a 1000 mile road trip too. Over any rough terrain though, and I could see it taking a tumble easily!

woah glad the issues got worked out so i can finally post here
anyone w/docks in their car have modded stiff suspensions? it sounds like the dock will pop out on me unfortunately, so no point in wasting $40 on one.
i'll get back on questions and such on my car setup. i'm waiting on my blaupunkt cd player w/a aux. input to come in, but for now im rockin a pos belkin wireless fm mod.
I haven't had any problems with the iPod popping out of the dock. It seems quite secure to me. I don't have any suspension mods in my car, but it's fairly stiff for stock. I've taken it on some nice twisties and the iPod stayed in place nicely.
