how do i keep my headphones from getting tangled

does anyone here have a good way to keep the apple white earphones from tangling...i want to keep them but everytime i stow them in my pocket or messenger bag they get tangled up and it's really annoying to keep untangling

Wrap them around 2 or 3 fingers and tuck the loose end through the loop.

I use something called "cable turtle". You can find them in most storage type stores...or...on the internet. And they come in different colors.
Make sure you get the smallest size.
