Works fine with iPod, except for the "feature" that you can use it as an external disk drive, or an iPod, but not both at the same time.I have no idea whether it's the same deal with a Mac.

Because they are REALLY made for Macs, the addition of Windows support was simply an afterthought to make more money. You will note the HPiPods come pre-formatted for Windows (FAT32)....

Okay here i go. For the last 4 monts i wanted an Imac or some G-model. I wanted it to get rid of the Microsofts Evil Empire.
I also wanted to start doing pro movies and musical arrangements. Then my friend came up with some sort of a clown pc who would cost me 1000$(canadian) and - and it would run all the new generation games (doom3, H-L2 and Farcry) anyway, me being a gamer on low budget(since me buying an iPod). It seemed to be the best solution.

windows XP and i LOVE IT!!!
the apple iMacs i used at school SUCKED SO BADDDDDDLY its not even funny... they froze ALL the time, hardly worked, never turn off when u want them to (EVEN AFTER u unplug them :/), and just generally sucked...
i tried the 3rdG eMacs (i believe) last year... they sucked even WORSE... i had to type a paper or sumtin.... it took like 5 seconds for 1 word to show up!!! n nothin else was runnin besides the typing application (w/e its called)
my windows xp (laptop) doesnt take 1 second to show things i type even when i have AIM, MSN, and Counter Strike open at the same time... (that takes up alot of RAM)
i once had a 'simple' game, F22 Lightning 3 open (accidently) with CS, AIM, and MSN also running and my typing STILL didnt lag...
i kno the school ones sorta suck compared to the norm. ones but...damn...thats just sad
lets see what bad replies i get from this :D

I've never had that problem of not being able to switch a mac off. I wonder why so many people have.
And as for the text lag, it does sometimes get VERY bad (seems to be ever since I installed 10.3.4) though it is actually very responsive now with Safari, iTunes, iChat, MSN, QT, TextEdit, Preview, MacTracker, SubEthaEdit, Xcode, AppKiDo and Internet Connect all open.
As for what I have, OSX 10.3.5 on all 3 machines in my house. I would have a PC as well for gaming if I had the money, but I just spent it all on this iBook

Windows, wanna switch to mac, planning to get one but my parents wont let me spend my money on something iAlready have, a PC that is. My current budget is around $3,500 including the screen plus tax. iDont want to spend more than that on a PC cuz iWanna get a brand new car. I'm 16 BTW and when iGot my iPod photo, my parents flipped out because they said iSpent that much of money without telling them about it, but they said they can't do anything about it since its my money. But iDo feel bad cuz they are spending their money for me and iM just wasting my money on something else instead of saving it. But eventually, iWill get a mac, when my Laptop goes down, can't wait. But before iDo that, anyone wanna gimme some reasons why iShould switch and why not to switch? iAlready read the reasons on Apple's website and etc and iReally want to switch. What are the differences and similarities? iKnow that Apple's OS is more reliable than Windows since it's probably crash free, faster iSuppose, and a lot better. iDo like the graphics and iLike the way how mac has their icons set up.

I'd really switch to Apple if it weren't for the fact apples are worthless outside of Internet browsing and word processing.
Not that I haven't tried for some insain reason. I tried puting up with the apple at work that has OS 9.0.4 on it and I even borrowed my dad's iBook for Dummies.
I tired to use my mouse on it and it was cruel. Later on, the thing froze, I had a panic attack, pressed ctrl alt del, and nothing happened.
