Well I started the summer needing to upgrade my car stereo and knowing nothing about car audio. Few months later, i'm heading back to school with an ipod ready car, new headunit, speakers, and bazooka tube. Im extremely pleased with the look and sound of it all, so thought i'd share the details here :)

Here's a link (http://hopehouseinc.com/susan/install/install.html) . If you go just for the pictures you'll see them once you scroll past all the blabbing.

nice looks real clean, i like the idea of being able to put the ipod whever you like it, and conceling the cables in the ashtray. good job

looks very good. great way of concealing the aux in, i like it! it looks like it would be more work then if it was in the back like you said lol. i might have to look at a bazooka tube since i want some little kick but not a neighborhood rattler like you said.

yah I definately recommend the bazooka tube. my brother who has a "real" system with subs and amps grudgingly told me that my 99$ tube sounded just as good as his. The pickup cab really helps- ive heard the sound gets lost in bigger vehicles (suv's)...but in my truck it sounds so great and gives me that nice bass that you can't even hear from outside the truck.

If you want the cons of bazooka tubes- just do a search at caraudioforum.com. If you want the pros- check out the reviews at the circuit city website. For the real enthusiasts they seem to hate bazookas, but for the average listener like me, they love it.

They're real easy to set up too. Hardest part of the installation was running the power through the firewall.

ok thanks for the info. the installation is no problem for me at all, i can setup any audio thing, its more the money issue.
