Hi!

I have just finished installing my ipod mini in my car. I have used the AUX on my audio to hookup with Belkin Auto Charger.

I have also shot a video of myself operating the damn thing.

The first few lines are in Korean for my korean forum members but the review is in English so you'll understand what I'm saying.

Seems easy enough. But the problem isn't plugging RCA's into my aux IN on my Sony CDX CA400 head unit. The unit just doesn't read that it's there. Basically, there is no way to just choose the aux IN on my head unit. I have been told in the above posts that I need to hook into the Audio Bus IN with an AUX adaptor for my head unit to read the iPOD as a Aux unit such as a cd changer. And the more I think about it, the more logical that seems.

Yeah, those small cables.

I can live with them out there because the mobile phone speaker has to be there with the plug line.

I'll have to investigate in getting some of those wires inside the ashtray or something.

And as for the aux problem, yeah, if your unit can't recognize the ipod even though it's connected, that head unit will need an adapter. My Rockford Fosgate seem to have the adapter thingy embeded withing it's HU.

OMG... you have a "Startaq(sp?)" phone? My dad had one until a year and a half ago and it wouldn't even work anymore. The problem with his was that in the states, the digital phones take up two of the normal analog phone lines, so you would get a constant busy signal until someone hung up. Crazy, ey?

Yeah :P

I didn't have enough dough to change my car so I opted to changing my HU. It only cost me like $300 when it came out back in 2001 or 2002 I think on ebay. The 7" in-dash TV with built in TV tuner cost me like $300 about 4 months ago (installation fee included).

As for the StarTAC, I know there are many camera mobile phones out there, but since it works fine I don't have any needs for a new cell phone. Been using my mobile since 1998. (Same year I bought my cheap a s s car... hehehehe)

My friend has kindly promised to change my Polk front speakers for some new stuff on the market for FREE. (Yeah!)

So, to make a long story short, I'm satisfied with my installation here. Not a groovy looking setup with icelink capabilities but at least I have my Mini at a distance where I can reach easily with my hands and not have to bend down to use the clickwheel.

Thanks for related + unrelated comments. Appreciate it! :D Keep em coming~
