I own one and it is very good. I think it is a little overpriced for what it is, but it will certainly protect your ipod very well. I have a remote for my mini, so the fact you cannot get access to the wheel is not such a big problem. It is a little fiddly to open, but once open it is easy to use the scroll wheel.
The armor is a very tight fit, and probably adds no more than 1.5mm of bulk on each side of the mini when inside. My mini has only been out of it to be put in a Radtech Minisleev, apart from that its lived in the armor. I can post some pics on here if you like.
