I have a 3G iPod. The right speaker in the earphones has started to buzz when a loud sound occurs. This only happens when the volume is at about 70%, but it is quite annoying. I have to have the volume turned up to about that level since I use public transport and it is quite hard to drown out the noise. I have no idea how this occurred, but presumably the speaker is slightly blown or cracked around the diaphragm.
Is this something that would be under warranty? If so, how do I get new earphones? thanks!

Got the same problem, i dont know if it is covered by warranty or not. But, think it happenes when you turn it up too high for too long, or cause people dropped them.
But you should do what I did by a new pair.

this happened on my old earphones...there synenhyzer's and it stopped after a while. I looked at the earphones, wiped off the ear wax (yuck) and they seemed to work fine. im not sure about pod earphones tho.
well ppl,, i've had this problem three times now! . i just asked apple for a replacement for the earphones and they were nice enough to send me a new pair each time without any cost so i guess its covered under the warranty.
