URGENT - iSkin with Dock

Sorry to use the dreaded U word, but I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow morning and need answers soon.

I've an evo and dock and for a while have been using the dock with the cover off. I'm taking it with me on a trip and don't want the sensitive innards of the dock to be damaged. I'm thinking of putting the cover back on, but don't want to have to take it off again ??? repeated for every future trip as well.
I also want to show off the beautiful white dock to the person I'm staying with.
iSkin recommends stretching the evo back through the touch wheel opening, but I seem to remember reading that this eventually makes the opening oval.

What should I do? Mainly what is "eventually", and how oval will the hole be? Also, have you found that taking the dock on and off wears out the clips on the cover. What's your opinion?

I think i can say with pretty much total certainty you will get a majoirty saying take it off!

From what i have heard it risks overheating if a case is left on for charging/synching etc!

I leave mine on all the time and put it through the scroll wheel hole, no problem so far

No it doesn't get oval. The silicone rubber always stretches back to its original shape. Also, it won't overheat. The eVo has several heat pores on the back of it that aid in heat dissipation. Mine has never overheated, and I always keep it in the skin.

Great. A bit more reassurance from others and I'll snap the dock cover on for good.
