I never mentioned my dad... he has a 1994 Jeep Cherokee. pimpmobile (not really).

Luckily, we saw a guy with old cars ('62 Impala, Ford Fairlane, early olds) for sale, and he used to have a '62 Ford Falcon, my dad's first car. Unfortunately, he scrapped it, but he kept a lot of the parts. My dad is now highly interested in getting ME a '62 Falcon for my first car. should be pretty awesome.

h2's are weak and small..if u want a real hummer at least spring for the h1 ..come on the h2 is based on the silverado fram and engine ..no power there...the h1 ...big diesel engine wide as a single lane..that thing crushes h2's

Well because the Wife wanted one we go a new 2005 Chysler Pacifica like a month ago. Now since the stock system in it seems to rock pretty good I have to just pull out the head unit and see what my options are for intergrating my iPod.

Oh ya, HI!!!!! This is my first post here, but I have been a lurker for awhile.

As I mentioned before, my dad drives a 1996 Jeep Cherokee (which he's put 50000 miles on in a year haha).

So, for his birthday he decided he wanted a new little project. He went out and got this 1991 mustang GT 5.0.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/mmmpictures/1990mustang.jpg

Pretty hot, eh?

Well, a few months ago we looked at a nice 1979 Mustang with parts from a late 80's mustang and a 1979 Ford 460 motor in it. Basically that thing FLIES. The same guy, who is selling all of his toys because his wife is pregnant, is selling a crotchrocket and a 1991 Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible. This thing looks amazing and sounds even better. It's got the pipes cut off, so it roars, and has a 5" raised hood. It also has some nice wide tires on it now. Well, we bought it. It's got a little body damage, but my dad used to do body repair for a living, so no problem. We already bought a replacement piece, and we have new, even WIDER tires to put on. We also got a nice spoiler from a 1969 Donahue AMX. We thought it would be too wide (paid $25 for it) for the car, but it fits PERFECTLY right around the existing mounting hardware. Here you go:

no, I'm not inlining pictures that are 2304 pixels wide, haha.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/mmmpictures/91leftside.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/mmmpictures/91rear.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/mmmpictures/91front.jpg

and guess who gets that car when it's all done? :D

330CiC - that's my dream car too only I want it in a coupe with an m pack. Convertibles mess up my hair and are too hot where I live.

Anyway, I have a 2004 BMW 318i exectutive. Silver on black with 17" 320 wheels, sunroof, darkest legal tint and no ipod connected YET. It looks pretty good.

1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

Just broke 100,000 miles on it. And have not had any major problems yet.

The only thing I changed on it was the CD player with an OLED screen, which is cool. The change of the CD player increased the Audio quality in the car though because I was able to mess with the Equilizer Settings.

Man I really want an Escape Hybrid. That way I could get great gas mileage and still have the storage space I need. Plus all the reviews I have read are excellent on both the Escape and Tribute.

I might hook up an Escape after I graduate.

I am up to three cars at the moment. Thankfully, one is getting passed on down the line, and the next is about to roll over and die.

my daily driver/real car is a 2005 BMW M3 Coupe (Competition Edition). Fully loaded- Nappa leather, M logos everywhere, iPod integration, cold weather package, premium package, nav system, harmon kardon sound (chaged out the head unit with an Alpine and popped a new amp in the back (Sony Xplod)). It's my dream car and I was so so so lucky to be able to buy it.

Next in the garage is my 1995 volvo 960, all the goodies- that was my second car and man what a great car it was. The odo got stuck at 177,000 miles, but it's got more than that. Unfortunately, the paint's not been taken care of properly and it's running out of life, so I'm thinking about selling the thing, and buying a "winter" car like a Lexus LX somethingorother, since there are some tough winters here.

Last but not least was my first car, a 1995 Dodge Caravan SE...emerald green. It's getting passed along down the line at the end of august when I move away- it was a great first car to have. I'll be sad to see it go.

I love my BMW. Occasionally for work I will get to drive a company car (Porsche Boxster) and that's a blast, but I wouldn't want to own one. I love my BMW so much. I go out and drive it just for fun, and I love that I can drive it like a sports car in manual mode, just cruise around in it in sport mode, and be really lazy running to the grocery store in automatic mode. Makes it like having three different cars!

The SMG transmission takes some getting used to but I love it.

To answer whoever asked how people can afford these cars, I'm very young (barely in college) but I inherited a substantial sum through a series of lucky events, such that the interest provides more than enough for me to live comfortably. So, my treat to myself was to go buy my dream car and pay for it in full on the spot. Otherwise, I live pretty normally and go to work and live my life. My annual salary would normally not support a BMW by any means ( I am, after all, not even 20 years old) so sometimes these things happen by weird confluences of events.

No, buy I've been paintballing since about 1992, I was on one of the top teams in the world for several years. I've sold all of my guns off, now I just have an RT Mag and the gear, I haven't been in about 2 years. I really enjoy it, but I don't have time, my wife isn't really into running around playing "Army," so I try to stick to sports that we can both do, climbing and cycling are out favorites.

Verita,
Between the other thread where you look really young, and this thread where you have quite a nice array of cars... I have to ask, where are you working my friend? We should talk - I make a business of tuning european cars..

Also, I dont' know what PBNation is but someone may have posted my car. It's a company show car, and like I said, I make a living tuning people's cars to look like mine, so it may have been a similiar car. I can guarantee, though, that if it had that charger and that bumper, it's mine ;) - One-off pieces :)

I'm 27, my wife just turned 28 last month, her patients always think she's like 20-21 (she's a doctor), the old men always hit on her. People usually think that I'm a freshman at UCLA and I drive my rich dad's cars... oh well, it means I'll look 35 when I'm 50.

Check my profile for what I do, I've also created my own company (art related) and sold it off, and I invest. I also inherited a bit of cash from my father who died in 2000, his father was a multi-billionaire at his death in 1986.

I drive a Citroen Xsara, which I share with my mum. It's a French car. What more is there to say? It's manual transmission, 1600cc engine and reasonably large. It'd done well so far, except for a few tire waring issues.

thiswho - Thank you very much, brother. I must say I love the car not just for what it is but for the passion I've put into it, the hours I've spent under it, and the creation I've made of it. Truth is, though, it's a mild car compared to SOME of our customer's cars...
Ivan's car, for example (http://www.europrojektz.com/EP6/EP_NW/ivan/profile.htm) has the lambo doors, widebody, supercharger.. you name it bud. The best is sometimes I'll tell people that I'm like 39, and they'll be like "wow, you're in such good shape, you look so young." As a result I've had some 40+ year old MILF's (excuse the term) hit on me. Personally, I can't wait until I'm old so I can have crazy mad-scientist hair like Rotwang in "Metropolis."

I've posted some pictures and photos of my oil paintings, but I doubt the Mods/Admins would be happy with someone linking tons of images, this site already suffers from bandwidth issues. Phototgraphy has always been a serious passion ever since I got my hands on my grandpa's Leica many years ago. When I lost my legs I obviously couldn't play soccer at the world-class level anymore, so I then began to develop (pun) photography as a lucrative career.

What format's do you shoot? What camera(s) do you own?

You're a troll, get a life or go somewhere else. Either post something about your cars (Messerschmitt's and U-Boat's don't count) or get out.

That's from someone who takes to posting artwork and cars in threads with absolutely no relevance to them...

Rod, that was a bit out of hand though.

Simply not true.

I either post in the proper thread, or when someone inquires about the subject (cars & art).

Well you did post about your legs and he did asked about it.

Anyway, if we can back off topic, I do have a question.

Does modding a car, adding turbo engines (although it'd be more appropriate for a Porsche) or the like to a BMW violate the warranty?

Depends on the car, I'd think not in most cases, but I'm not sure. The thing is most cars worthy of a turbo charger (or 2, or 4) have a model that comes with the turbo and intercooler already installed, so there isn't much point unless you're build ing a car from scratch.

When are we gonna see your mugshot, or a pic of your family's car/boat/bikes/whatever you travel on?

I have three cars. All of them run. I paid zero for them.

2 from inheritance from my grandpa.
1 from my parent's divorce.

1977 Lincoln Continental Town Car (show car)
1980 Lincoln Continental Mark VI (currently rebuilding)

2002 Taurus

I had a 96 Probe for a little while, then during a getaway I totalled it.

Just purchased a LandCruiser a month ago and am regretting it what with the gas prices now.

Any suggestions for a fuel-efficient 4WD SUV-type body, preferably not a RAV4 or CRV?

Escape Hybrid, but don't expect good milage on hwy. Hybrids require lots of braking to recharge the batteries which power the generators that move your car from 0-25 mph. Where do you most of your braking? The city. The hwy milage will be on par with a regular escape.

Subaru Forester is a good choice.

BMW X3, but it is a tad more xpensive.

I'm with you here, the Escape gets great mileage (especially in City) and is the only small SUV which imho doesn't look like it was designed for chicks.

Or if you've got the dough you could hook up the Lexus RX hybrid SUV.

When on Kauai we rented the new V8 4Runner... great SUV. On Oahu we had a Gallardo... a blast to drive. The in-laws had a Escalade which was nice but I like the 4Runner better.

its not a mixtape. It's a 2-disc ALBUM. I'm waiting for some samples to get cleared cuz I'm trying to have stores in the Tri-state area sell it. I'll PM you more info later if you want.

Yep, we got my first car too just recently.

We bought it for insurance (better for me than a mustang...) prices.

1988 Mazda 929. This thing is a damn tank, and it's amazing. 230,000 miles and it's almost BRAND NEW. Needs a new battery and gas line though. Plus, it's stick :D

I should have pictures by the weekend.
