Hi, I've been looking over cases and I decided I probably want to get a Radtech podsleeves when they come out for the 4G in September. I really dont like those rubber or silicone cases, I think they make the ipod look ugly. But thats just me. Anyway, my only concern with the podsleeves is the tightness of it on the ipod, I want it to be very snug. Can anybody who has one tell me how snug it fits on the ipod? Will it just fall off by itself? Anyway, thanks!

Is the podsleve a rubber or like a cotton/silky thing?

afalconsvick: The Podsleeve is a fabric sleeve, not rubber or silicone like the "skin" cases.

So then wouldnt it slide around the ipod?

oh, those are the ones that look like a sock, I'd rather have a leather case.

I have the PodSleev. It fits very tight and is a little difficult to remove. I like the fit, etc. but you cannot use it with the dock. If you plan to put it on and remove it often, I don't recommend it. I also have the Contour Showcase. I usually put the Ipod in it before I move it anywhere.(Don't want to drop and damage). The Contour is a good hard case and it is easy to open and close. It is bulkier than the PodSleev but offers more protection. Just depends on what your needs are.

Thanks for the info PartyHardy. I want the podsleev because it's thin, and I dont have a dock so I dont plan on removing it often. THe finger oil stains on the shiny metal part of the ipod are really bugging me though.
Is it true that the podsleev scratches the screen?

I just got a podsleev... the fabric is cool, its tight as a #####, extremely hard to get on but once you do it is pretty nice. Not real sure how dent resistant it will be and/or scratch resistant due to how thin the fabric really is.
My only problem... which actually turned into a disaster (by my fault) is that the screen protector that comes with the podsleev is horrible. It was this thin plastic covering that made the screen just extremely fuzzy and rediculous. It was a huge annoyance. I actually decided to cut out the screen protector. But due to the way the podsleev is manufactured now my screen has small exposures around the screen, it looks stupid, but its my fault.
Im prollly gonna get a tunewear when it comes out.
If you want a crappy screen protector with a cool case.... get a podsleev. You kinda do pay alot for what little material you get...
oh well.

Yeah I think the silicone cases look fine. For example, when you're using a clear one, you can hardly tell it's on. But they do attract lint, dust, etc.

Hehe, well I don't think it looks as bad as a sock, but then I guess if you're looking for thin there aren't really that many choices. I personally use a Speck Flipstand, which I think looks and functions very well, but even with it I keep a pda protector over the screen to keep scratches from messing up the lcd when I take it out of the case, which for me is fairly often. I imagine if you're worried about the podsleeve scratching the screen you could do the same with it.
