how does ipod choose which songs to put in the 90's category?
I want to take some songs out but I don't know how to remove them from that list that i never created any how.
if this is an faq question I am so sorry. I will purchase a book as soon as I decide which one is one i will get something out of.

Some mp3's have a year tagged to it. 90's music is a "smart" playlist that puts any music made in the 90's into it. I deleted the playlist myself. You cant take songs out of it as it is a smart playlist, but you can create a regular playlist in itunes and put the same songs you want in there.

I obviously dont have a 'Pod, but can you put the music into playlists by yourself, manually?

thank you. I get it now. Well, I guess I got a lot of 90's music with tags. These darn things are smart. Never knew that. Thank you so much for explaining it.

Even an easier way would just to make a Smart Playlist on your iPod...Go File> New Smart Playlist. Then click on ARTIST and click on YEAR and then click on IS and then put IS IN THE RANGE put 1990, 1999. Hope I helped...
*EDIT* Oh well I just read your post throughly and found out it isnt what your asking ... its 2:25 in the morning here I'm going to bed :D

If you use ratings, you can edit the original smartlist to include a minimum rating. That way, you can drop stuff off song by song by lowering the rating below the threshold.
