How hard is this to do? And would the drive work in my digital camera??

Don't bother, last I heard the drive will not work in any digicams.

I sort of thought so, too. And last I heard Hitachi has said they are not CF compliant (but if I were Hitachi I'd say the same thing - I'd rather you bought my product for twice the money, too).
Thanks.

I just found this article...
http://www.steves-digicams.com/microdrive.html
Which says...
Note: The 4GB drives in the Apple iPod Mini player will NOT work in a digital camera - period! And now it looks like all of the new MuVo players are also using incompatible 4GB drives. Before buying one on eBay make sure that the last three digits of the model number are 41C, 42B, or 43B - these are usable, the 44C drives are not.
So now there's definitive info on this subject... crud... :P

Is there any way to harvest the drive from a 3G iPod for reuse as storage?
My 40GB iPod died this morning (it dropped through the gap of my desk and keyboard tray onto the concrete floor....) :(
