Airtunes without AP Express - Rendezvous related question

i'm not sure iff this is in the right forum, but here goes.

is there any way i can route audio to another speaker like Airtunes and AP Express does, but without ap express. let's say i have another computer that's hooked up to a better speaker, and it has itunes, and can see my PB's music via Rendevous. all this tiem i've been going back and forth to it to select the music i wanna play and do it manually. but is there any way i can make the PC itunes automatically play the music i select or command it to play from the PB??

i know it'd be easier with AP Express, but i don't have that yet. any ideas??

Use sharing. Go into edit => pref => sharing.

Turn sharing on your main comp, and turn look for sharing on the comp plugged into the good speakers.

Are you asking if it's possible to select a song in iTunes on your Powerbook and have it play through iTunes on your PC, and therefore through the better speakers?

I don't think this is supported, but it seems like it could be possible. Neat idea, too.

yes. that's exactly it. i wanna route the music throught the PC (and its speakers), but i want the controls over at the PB. i stream the music from it just fine right now. but i still have to go to my PC to control it.
