I bought a 20GB 3G Ipod for use with my Windows XP computer last week, and spent the last few days ripping my CD collection using iTunes. I rip rock/pop with 160 and classical/jazz with 224 in order to get a better quality. When I checked the "about" in the iPod after uploading a few songs, it showed me that I still have 18.3GB left - which I found very pleasing. Now, roughly 1200 songs later, the iPod still shows me that I have 18.3GB left. Obviously - unless Apple has discovered a new way to create unlimited disc space in the meantime - something is not quite right. iTunes says I have about 7GB of Music in my Library.
Any hints or suggestions on what may be the reason?
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
