anyone try using 3G case with 4G?

just curious. i got a 4G in a hurry so that i can take it on a couple of long plane rides next week. but, i need to protect it and don't want to rush out and buy the $40 apple case. does the slight size difference matter for the cases that much? thanks -

I was thinking about picking up the XtremeMac leather case. Anyone try out the 4G with it? I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for an update if it's going to be a loose fit with the current case.

he cut up an Exo3 (the really thin case that covers the buttons and wheel of the 3G iPod) and put it on a 20 GB 4G iPod

Yeah, the 4G is just one milimeter thinner, so I really don't think it'll make much of a difference on anything but maybe a skin, where 1mm matters

yeah it would probably work temperarily until 4g cases are availabe. and the xtreme mac case says it works with 4g.

Has anyone tried the Apple case that came with the 3G on a 4G? It really doesn't look like the size would make that much of a difference in this case.

I actually did it. (using exo3 for 4G ipod)

It's not that good lookin, but I guess I'm ok with it until the real version comes out.

Here is my new 20gig G4 with my old 20 gig G3 iskin. It fits alittle loose because the G4 is a bit thinner. I will due till the new G4 cases come out.

the Contour Showcase fits alright if u put a little bit of cloth behind the pod! doesnt look great but you can use it easy enough!
