Hi,
Had my Pod for a couple of days now and have a couple of questions.
I'm using windows and when i connect via my USB2 port, a pop up message says that windows doesnt know whats connecting (or something along those lines) but then if i re-boot my comp. and connect it again it shows up in the I-tunes menu (on left) after a few minutes which is strange? why would it only work after a re-boot?
Secondly, i've now got approx. 4Gb on my Ipod and want to add more albums that I've imported to my comp. via I-tunes, when I connect how do I make sure that I-tunes doesn't re-load the albums I've already got on the Pod? Do i have to go thru them manually and only load the ones that are not already on Pod? that would take ages!!! There must be an easier way.
Cheers

Because Windows is dodgy. Seriously though, even if Windows says "unknown device" (or whatever), it will still pop up in the iTunes Source list after a minute or so. Shouldn't require a reboot at all; that's the beauty of USB and FireWire. Hot-swappable.

When you connect your iPod, regardless of whether auto-sync or manual-sync is activated, iTunes will only transfer the songs that aren't on the iPod already. However, with manual sync, you've just got to drag-and-drop the library and/or your playlists in the Source list onto the iPod icon in the Source list. If you've made changes to your library or playlists, iTunes will still only add the songs that weren't present before. Simple as that, and takes no time at all to do.

When your iPod is connected to your computer, and is shown in the Sources area of iTunes (far left-hand side), click on the iPod Options button in the bottom right-hand corner of iTunes. In there you'll be able to turn on Auto Sync.
