Hi there.

Maximum transfer rate for USB 1.1 is 12 Mb (1.5 MB) so an album with 18 tracks, or about 70 MB, would take about 50 seconds.

However this is just theory and in practice it can take a bit longer.

?! i guess it aint that bad, i guess i wont have to worry like that.
i tought it was a big deal to need a 2.0 card to transfer songs.

I do too. It's not that bad. I thought I would be some kind of huge difference, but it's really nothing to worry about (plus I didn't want to buy a card!!)

In my case, in practice it definitely takes longer. I used 1.1 to transfer most of my music, and just recently put a 2.0 card in. Something that took a few minutes before, now takes 15-20 seconds. From what I have seen, it's pretty substantial, especially when moving a lot of music back and forth. I think the 20-30 bucks is definitely worth it.

of course it is,its just that its hard for me to get one in stores and online. im in the look out for a pci low profile half length usb 2.0 card in the internet and i think i found the right match. since i dont got a credit card, i have to send in envelope (which i never done before) a copy of a prepay check to the website's adress and its at texas. what im worried about is if the check would arrive after 10 days all the way to texas because they would cancel my order if they dont recieve my check before 10 days. :(
