Hi there,

I am pretty new here and i just got myself a 3g 20gb Pod and now i want it protecting,

This is what i need:

All over protection so it wont get scratched
Still able to operate the controls on the unit without removing it
Screen protection
Stil able to read the screen
Protect the unit from sand and general dirt
Splash protection would be nice too

What do you lot reccomend ?

Cheers

Jonny :D

Nothing's going to give all of that protection except for some version of a skin, and even that will have minimal shock protection and no real waterproofing.

Here's two of many:

Really, though, to protect every part against scratches, you'd have to keep the iPod from being touched; and when you do that, you lose quick access to the controls.

I've got a Timbuk2 case, and although I have to open it to access the iPod's controls, it's entirely protected from most hazards -- which is why I got it.

I'm also thinking of finding an STM Cocoon case, although its sheath doesn't look like it allows the iPod to remain dockable:

You might wanna try one of the exo cases by Lajo.

There are reviews on their cases right there. They cover the click wheel, top, bottom, and you can get iShades mini sold seperately (not mentioned in the review, just go to the Lajo site to find them.)
