Not sure if you call these Logic boards or motherboards... whichever...
I got a steal on a 2nd gen Ipod with a completely toasted firewire port. (Click .here (http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38553) for the story on that one)
Rather than replace the port (my original idea) I've decided to just try to find a new motherboard altogether- If you've got one around that works let me know at ianknox [ at ] uic.edu or PM me.
And coincidentally if any of you solder monkeys out there want to take a stab at fixing this for a nominal fee, let me know. I'm a little leery about putting too much money into someone skilled looking at it but if the price is right I might roll the dice on this motherboard one more time.
