I have an extra 5Gig iPod (1G of course) and it's hard drive broke down on me. I have since bought a 40G iPod. My dad has been looking to buy a MP3 player, nothing big or special, and all he needs is around 1 gig of space for some audio books and such. I know that everything else works fine in the 5Gig iPod and I've been reading how ppl. have been upgrading their 1G ipods with bigger drives, leading me to belive that all I need to do is change the drive and it should work.
I figure some of you guys have an extra 5Gig or 10Gig laying around collecting dust and was hoping someone would be willing to sell (or even give) me their spare drive so I can fix up my old iPod. If so, please contact me on this board or email me at 'jiggawhat (at) ureach.com'.
