shall i buy a 2d gen. ipod or a mini?

i can purchase a 2d generation 20 gb ipod for 230? [new] or I can purchase a ipod mini 200? later in L.A. where I this summer vacation are going to.

what are the main differences?
and do you guys think?

BTW, to the best of my knowledge. you wont find a mini for $200. The retail price is $250 ex sales tax. And since the mini's are still hard to get, it is virtually impossible to find one at discount price.
