I just got a 10 gb iPod w/o the cords or anything. My question is, what do i need to play and download music. I know I need a dock so I am willing to buy one of those or trades. Can I download the software from kazaa? And does it cost money to download the songs???

OK, anyway, this is what I have to trade. I will trade for anything that I need to start my iPod up and running. Gamecube games, (Metroid Prime, Mario Kart Double Dash, and some more like Madden 2002.) and I have a Dreamcast with like 8 games, a mem card, and 3 controllers. Anyway, thanks for all of the help.

You don't need to buy the software or the dock for that matter. And the songs do cost money according to Apple, it costs less for me and costs nothing for many illicit activity promoters.
I will assume that you are using Windows/PC.
You need to purchase the $20.00 USB/Firewire cable. You could only get the firewire cable if you had the compatible parts, but you will find that to be useful.
Now the power adapter unit new will cost you around $50. I don't see any other way to "convieniently charge" your iPod. Look for it on eBay or here.
Download iTunes+iPod from apple.com don't want to look up the link right now, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
Headphones are obvious.
Summary:
1. $20 cable USB/Firewire
2. Power supply adaptor (don't buy new if you want to save $$$)
3. Free download of iTunes+iPod from somewhere on Apple site

Where can I pick up Gamecube games, (Metroid Prime, Mario Kart Double Dash, and some more like Madden 2002.) and Dreamcast with like 8 games, a mem card, and 3 controllers. (j/k)
