If you turn off ipod in mid song, when you turn ipod back on, is there a way to restart in the same position please

You can hit pause and then let it go to stand-by by itself(1-2 minutes) or there's also a way by hitting the play/pause button of the remote. The iPod will go to sleep, and resume from the same position when you turn it back on.

pierugg is right. That's all you have to do.
Actually, if you hit pause on the iPod itself... then push and hold pause until it turns off (no need to wait until it times out), it will also restart where it left off.

Doesn't restarting in the place you stopped when you shut off using the pause/play button only work on the latest generation iPods? Thought older iPods lacked that feature, but I could be mistaken.
