copy files into folders on USB drive

Hi there,

I'm looking for a script which will copy all the files in a playlist to a connected USB-drive (MP3 player) sorted into folders based on the "Album" information.

If you just drag the files from iTunes, they are all copied to the root of the drive, which makes them very un-organised. I would like them to end up like this:

Album1:
01song-track1.mp3
02song-track2.mp3
05song-track5.mp3

Album2:
03song-track2.mp3
05song-track5.mp3

etc.

I've found a script that looks like it will do it for a DVD-backup (haven't tried it yet) but I need it just for a connected drive.

Can anyone help me out?

hi peter,

i am working on an expansion of a playlist importing script that allows you to copy the track files from location to location.. it works on the text export file of the playlist, reads the current locations of the tracks and then checks you intended location to see if they exist.. if not it copies them over into the standard itunes structure of artist/album/track..
