Well, if it's a PCI card, it will charge so you're going to get charging. And you'll need it. Not having the capability is a real pain in the you know what. It's amazing how quickly the battery dies when it's uploading. And the one time it does die and your iPod get corrupted and you need to restore it, you'll be bummed.

Usually any card w/the VIA chipset works fine if you're looking for the cheapest card.

Just buy one and make sure you can return it if it doesn't work.

wow, ever thought of asking "please" for help?

the card looks fine...but you'll be telling us if it's good or not after you get it since it doesn't even have a manufacturer name.

Oh well, it's only $18.

I got a 3 port PCI Firewire card with the CompUSA branded name for $29.95. It works great with the iPOD. I already have USB 2.0 on my motherboard. But if you don't I would recommend a combo board that has both. They are only a few dollars more.
