getting started with my new ipod

i just got my ipod and using ephpod when I try to do the startup steps it tells me to select my ipod from a list of drives and the list it gives is: 3.5 floppy (a), micron (my computer) (c), compact disk (d), and compact disc (e). none of these are my ipod correct? so what should I do?

Look in My computer. Is there a new drive there that says "iPod" or something similar? That's your iPod. Select that letter.

If there isn't a drive, launch iPod Manager (Start>Programs>iPod>iPod Manager) and make sure enable firewire disk mode is checked.
