Hey, im fairly new to the Ipod world.
Im stuck deciding on whether to buy a iPod 15gb or an iPod mini, my computer doesnt have a firewire port or USB 2.0 port. I was wondering what this firewire adapter is that comes with the 15gb model, one of my friends told me it is a firewire card with ports for firewire. But when i looked at the pictures in the gallery it looks like a small little cube and im not sure what it is, does it come with a firewire card? also in the picture of the 15gb model contents, it shows a picture of a dock, and i was wondering if it does come with a dock, because all the stores around me (australia) say they do not contain the dock.

1) 15GB iPod's no longer come with the dock, only the 20GB and 40GB models do.

2) The FireWire adaptor plug is nothing more than a 6-pin--to--4-pin adaptor for connecting an iPod to a PC (usually laptops) that only have a 4-pin FireWire port. (Note: a 4-pin FireWire port does not carry any power, so an iPod will not charge via a 4-pin FireWire connection).

You're either going to need to purchase a FireWire card or a USB 2.0 card for your computer.
