I can't seem to figure out how to get my winamp playlists into iTunes.
Dragging and dropping or importing the m3u or pls file into iTunes duplicates the song listing and creates a mess of problems with some of the songs losing their file references.

I'd also love to import my ratings and play counts, too, but I imagine that's asking tooooo much.

Thanks

(insert all that stuff I'm supposed to write about my iPod habits here)

First, Welcome to the lounge. Glad you decided to hoin the iPod crowd.

Next, I believe your problem is the fact that iTunes will not take the .m3u files. You will have to convert them to .mp3 or .aac files first. There is a WinAmp plug-in for the iPod here: http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29241

You can also check at: http://www.versiontracker.com they have software you can download and use to convert the files.

Maybe someone else will post another workaround to your problem. Enjoy the lounge.

Welcome! I pod. U Pod. We Pod.

I don't have an answer to your m3u playlists problem but I know that it is not currently possible to import ratings and playcounts (from iPod or other) into iTunes.
