Has the spread of iTunes in the UK and Europe changed your music source habits?

Do you "steal" less?

Do you "steal" more?

Has it made you shop elsewhere?

Are you happy to stick with iTunes and see how it progresses?

I must be honest and say that I don't rip or "find" music as much as I used to from inproper sources but this has made me source other stores when iTunes does not have what I want.

Apart from MyCokeMusic and Napster I recently discovered virgin.com now sell music online through Virgin Megastore!

This isn't perfect though as they all produce protected WMA files which means burning to disc and ripping!

What's the point when I paid for it!

I'm now happy to purchase my music from iTunes, although the lack of music on there at the moment is certainly frustrating. I'm sure we'll get a database equivalent to that of the US store eventualy though.

Let's hope so - I guess we have to be patient and happy that at least we do have some access

There is practically nothing on it so the answer is no. Until they have something to sell it can't change anything.

I bought two tracks on the first day... then I decided I'd like the entire albums and realised it would be cheaper to buy them as CDs.

I think I'll be using iTunes to preview albums, then buy the CDs from amazon. (This gives me the advantage of hiding behind the internet, rather than having people question my dubious musical tastes in real-life :-)

I hoped itunes would change everything for me, but it hasnt. I still download illegally, listen to an album then either delete it if its rubbish, or order it from Amazon or something. I'd much prefer a hard copy of whatever i buy - i also like the printed booklet and stuff. Theres not much difference in price really.

When iTunes UK gets a little better (more artists added) i'll buy the occosional single track. In the mean time if i decide to buy mp3s i'll get them from www.bleep.com - no drm, no restrictions just great music!
