I have a 40gb ipod running version 2.2 software on itunes software for windows (running xp) version 4.6.0.15

My library is 2363 songs or 10.05 gb. I also have two very tiny .vcf contact files on my ipod as well, less than 100k. So essentially I have 10.05 gb used and should read 27.05gb of free space approx.

When my ipod is attached/docked to itunes I auto-synch and it confirms all this data.

When I go to settings -->about it says I have 2363 songs, the capacity is 37.1gb and I ahve 33.1gb available.

All my songs and playlists appear to be there. I'm pretty sure this is a bug.

Anyone else have this going on?

Is there a place to report bugs on apple's website?

Thanks,

Mike

This is a known issue, and even has an FAQ entry here on iPodlounge (see Help >> iPod FAQs). You can report this bug to Apple here:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html

Thanks Andy, I always try to search first before I post and I've read the faq a few times, but it's always when I'm looking for somethign specific.

Thanks for the info.
