I've just bought an i-pod and it is truly the most beautiful thing that could possibly fit in your pocket, and the thirst for more music is getting the better of me :D
I have an old pc on which i have stored hundreds of albums, but it does not seem to have the free memory necessary for installing i-tunes.

Does this mean that i can't transfer the files onto my new pc, which has i-Tunes?
Is there a way of transferring music files via i-pod as a hard-drive from a computer that has no i-tunes and no internet connection?

I have been working on my mp3 music collection for ages, and there are some that i may not be able to get again, i'd hate to lose it all :(
Any suggestions at all would be brilliant

Hey Tom

what I would advise is to tranfer the music from your old pc using the windows explorer. You would use then your ipod as an external hard drive.
Then put it back on your new pc. And re-transfer your music and the ipod thru itunes or ephpod.

Indeed, the mp3s can't be played unless you transfer them via itunes or any other matching softwares.

By the way, just try to install ephpod on your old comp. That could work and you would save lots of time.

Good luck.
